E is for Embroidery
Krista Hull is a dabbler. She tries her hand at photography, painting, ceramics, sculpture, sewing, jewellery, and embroidery... each resulting in some pretty amazing pieces. I was intrigued when she told me she can't draw... intrigued and happy to hear someone else admit the same affliction as myself.
Krista is also my neighbour-friend and after a visit to her dreamy apartment a week and a bit ago I've been reminiscing about some of the magical things that live there, like this embroidery she made inspired by a family photo. It isn't her only embroidered portrait, and they only take her a day or two...she makes it sound easy!...the hardest part for her is deciding whether to display the front or the back.
